Marriage Preparation

Prepare for the marriage, not only the wedding.

Premarital counseling gives you time to talk intentionally about the expectations and patterns that will shape married life. The goal is not to prove that a couple is perfect. It is to understand strengths, identify areas needing attention, and build skills before challenges become entrenched.

Prepare/Enrich

Course Correction Counseling uses the Prepare/Enrich assessment as one tool in the process. Results help guide discussion; they are not a pass-or-fail test and do not predict the future of your marriage.

Topics may include

  • Communication and conflict
  • Finances and decision-making
  • Personality and stress
  • Family backgrounds and expectations
  • Intimacy, friendship, and commitment
  • Faith, values, parenting, and shared goals

Christian couples may request explicitly biblical marriage preparation. Couples from other backgrounds are also welcome, and the work will reflect their values and preferences.
